Exploring Afghan women’s ‘extension of home’ in London
Home as contested topic can be a space for dialogue and communication outside boundaries of a dwelling. In this project, through a series of art workshops in London, 36 women migrants explored learning art skills and expressed themselves and what they understood of home through paintings. The project was funded by the British Academy and Leverhulme small research grants (grant number: SRG18R1\181436).
This project was a collaboration between Royal Holloway University of London and Afghanistan and Central Asian Association (ACAA), in London.
